Terms and Conditions
References to "we" or "us" in the context of this documentation shall mean "Westcountry Walking Holidays" (the trading name of Andrea Ward).
We accept bookings subject to the following conditions:-
- A contract will exist between the client and Westcountry Walking Holidays when a completed booking form and a deposit has been received and our confirmation has been sent. The deposit shall be deemed to be part payment of the total cost and the balance shall become payable 6 weeks prior to the date for which the booking is made.
- Cancellation by You.
- Effective from date we receive it in writing.
- Deposits non -refundable.
- Refunds on balance 42 days or less before start of holiday;
- 42 - 21 days before 50%;
- Less than 21 days - no refund.
- In the unlikely event of us cancelling your holiday, or if an alternative offered to you is not acceptable, we will return all Money paid in full or, if part of your holiday is cancelled, we will refund the corresponding portion of Money paid. Upon tendering the same all our liability to the client shall cease.
- Westcountry Walking Holidays will endeavour to secure accommodation with en-suite / private facilities, however this cannot be guaranteed.
- Westcountry Walking Holidays will supply one set of maps and route guides per booking unless otherwise requested. Additional sets may incur a charge.
- We recommend that you take out insurance to cover cancellation, personal accident, illness or loss of possessions. Please make sure your policy covers the activities to be undertaken. Westcountry Walking Holidays or its agents cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to your baggage, or for illness or injury, nor public liability for any holiday arranged by us.
- Clients are advised that they must ensure that they are fit for the holiday and if in any doubt whatsoever, to consult their medical practitioner.
- Clients must limit their luggage to two bags per person and each bag must not exceed 20kgs. Your accommodation providers and luggage transferers may charge a fee if this is not adhered to.
- Clients are responsible for the cost of any ferries (or alternative transport) required for river crossings.
- Bookings can only be accepted from persons under sixteen years of age when accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them.
- The entire contract between our client and us is contained in these conditions and the booking form. No agent, servant or representative of Westcountry Walking Holidays has any right to alter or vary or waive any of these conditions.
- The contract between Westcountry Walking Holidays and the client as contained in these conditions and the booking form shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and for all purposes be deemed to be an English contract. If the client has cause for complaint, the matter should be brought to the attention of us at the time. Any legal action taken against us must be in the English courts.
- In the event of any changes being made to the booking once the deposit has been paid an administration fee of £30 may be charged. This is in addition to any further costs which may be incurred.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
